Your task will be to gather statistics (you may measure values yourself or collect data from Statistics Canada) and apply what you have learned regarding statistical interpretation of one variable and statistics of two variables. You will prepare two reports of one page each that summarize the statistical measures that you have learned in this course. The two reports do not need to be related to each other (of course it might be neat if they were!) Report 1- One Variable Statistics Summary Collect data (include the raw data in your report and have at least ten values that you have collected or measured yourself) Calculate statistics of one variable (measures of central tendency and measures of spread) Contextualize the statistical measures that you have just calculated (What do they show us about the data?) Report 1- Two Variable Statistics Summary Collect data (include the raw data in your report and have at least ten ordered pairs that you have collected or measured yourself). Your report will be more appropriate if you find data which correlates linearly. Calculate statistics of two variable (coefficients, line of best fit, residuals) Contextualize the statistical measures that you have just calculated (What do they show us about the data?) Each report will be evaluated using the following rubrics:
