Section 2.2.3 introduces three alternative discrete-event simulation approaches: event scheduling, activity scanning and process-based. Use each of these simulation approaches to simulate the airport problem in exercise E2.2. Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the three methods and compare them to the three-phase approach. (Hint: use the additional reading in section 2.2.3 to learn more about these methods.)
