A payroll system is designed so that there is an employee information record for each pe rson who works for the company. Once a week, the employee record is updated with the numbe r of hours worked by the employee that week. Once every two weeks, summary reports are printed to display the number of hours worked sin ce the beginning of the fiscal year. Once a month, each employee's pay for the month is transferred electronically into bis or her bank account.
