In many countries, each succeeding generation does better financially than their predecessors. The survey asked respondents the following question. “Compared to your parents at your age is your standard of living (PARSOL) 1 = Much better, 2 = Somewhat better, 3 = About the same, 4 = Somewhat worse, 5 = Much worse”. Is there enough evidence to conclude that the majority of people believe that they are doing better than their parents?
