Two employees were hurt at work and taken to the hospital. Their supervisor told them to be sure to file for workers’ compensation. His supervisor told him their expenses “would be taken care of.” The injured men told their supervisor they were afraid they would not get workers’ compensation. Again, he impressed on his supervisor the right the workers had to workers’ compensation. He was fired. Was his termination a violation of the public policy right to file for workers’ compensation?
