To analyze this scheme, choose a control surface that includes all the components shown and cuts through the cold water supply and hot-water-out lines. Assume hot water is being drawn for a shower. Sketch the control volume and show using labeled arrows all the heat and work interactions (i.e., all values of Q̄ and W̅). Use appropriate subscripts to denote the type of work or heat exchanges.
