Needed this book for my Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management studies and it’s actually pretty helpful so far. Didn’t expect much since it was free, but the pages seem well laid out and easy to follow. Got it within a few days, good quality for a free textbook honestly.

Been on the hunt for some study help and happened to find this Agribusiness Management book—all for free, which was a huge win. My course required some extra resources, so I thought why not? Went right into Chapter 5, which digs into risk management—it’s honestly way less tricky than I expected. The way it breaks down types of risk in farming businesses makes it easier to picture how small mistakes can lead to big problems. There was a part that stuck out where it explained strategies to spread out risks—kind of an eye-opener because I never thought about how simple shifts can protect a whole business. One thing I really liked was they didn’t toss too many dense terms at you; it felt like a conversation compared to the usual dry textbooks. That chapter motivated me to rethink a project I’m working on, especially this piece about crop insurance and contracts—real stuff I could see myself applying if I ever get into the hands-on part of agribusiness. I will say, sometimes the examples felt a bit generic, like they could add more modern cases to spice it up, but this might just be me wanting stories with stronger vibes. Overall, not bad considering it's free. If you need a good introduction and not the super heavy coursework stuff, this book fits the bill. Definitely recommend grabbing it if you want some extra help without paying a dime.
