Calculus Simplified Single Variable Early Transcendentals 1st Edition Summary: In many cases, real-world phenomena such as the cells in our bodies, the rate of population growth, the expansion of universe, arrangements of electrons in an atom or the rise and fall of economy are in motion or change. Calculus is a branch of Mathematics that provide a tool to analyze such processes, generally, it’s knowledge can be applied whenever there is an instantaneous rate of change phenomena. With that fact it’s undoubtedly Calculus is the fundamental basis of modern science and technology yet it acclaims the title of “The most difficult Mathematics branch”. This textbook aims to make it easy, accessible and understandable as possible to anyone taking the course or using it as reference with prerequisite of Algebra, Function, Analytic Geometry and Trigonometry. In my experience of teaching, regardless of unlimited number of good Calculus textbook out-there, students (including me when I was taking the course) still finds it challenging in the sense that the books covers so much about Physics and Engineering, enormous unorganized calculation besides the topic and the lack of clarity due to Calculus tradition of adopting formulas, methods and rules that seemed to rise out of nowhere, this somehow confuse students from the main theme and it’s where the notion that Calculus can’t be self-taught was assumed. This book is careful designed in such a way that it breaks down every single formula, rules and methods of Calculus in a simple interconnected way, explaining the why’s and how’s of each concept, method, rule and formula adoption step-wise, while maintaining conciseness (no imminent procedure is introduced in between). No way each page will enthuse you to the next. This textbook is very brief and to bowdlerize unnecessary confusion in the beginning of chapters detailed description are given (in a simple language) henceforth the book relies on deriving formulas, providing framework and methods to solve different problems systematically. Formulas derived are numbered hence when recalled can be easily traced for solid understanding and for those who have no prerequisite listed, the book is supplemented with Resource-Table in the Appendix to cream off important formulas that goes along with the subject, at the end (In a period of 45 – 60 days) student will be equipped enough to solve any Calculus problem and apply its knowledge to the related real-world models.
