So I came across this accounting book when I was looking for something affordable for my intro class, and luckily snagged it at a decent discount. The real turning point for me was landing on Chapter 7 — all about adjusting entries. Before that, I was sorta lost on how those “end of period” tweaks actually worked and why they mattered, but this chapter broke it down in a way that finally clicked. The step-by-step examples made it feel less like guesswork and more like a process I could actually do without panicking. What really surprised me was realizing how these adjustments keep financial records honest and more realistic — didn’t know it was that important! After working through some exercises in Section 7, I caught myself applying the same logic when journaling class transactions for a mini assignment, so that was kinda cool. On the flipside, some of the text felt a little wordy at times, and I wish there were more visuals next to all those transaction examples — pictures always help me remember better. Even though misunderstandings popped up at moments while I read, the chapter pushed me forward and actually made the overall drive to keep reading seem more real and necessary. If you're new to accounting and find those ‘adjusting’ things confusing like I was, this book made it way easier to get that part down. And catching it on a discounted price was just icing on the cake since I didn’t have to stress about the cost. I’d say give it a shot for that chapter alone, especially if you need a helpful nudge with journal entries and figuring out timing for revenue and expenses.

Honestly, package looked like it took a beating from a forklift or something, box all crushed in weird spots and bent pretty bad. Haven’t even checked the pages yet cuz just trying to get past how messed up the outside is.
