This book is okay if you're just getting started in data analytics, but I was hoping for a bit more depth in the examples. Some parts feel rushed, and I was left wanting additional context around decision models. That said, it still provides a decent framework and overview. If you're a beginner, it could be a decent stepping stone.

The book offers a well-balanced approach between theory and hands-on practice. It provides a solid foundation for understanding decision models, though sometimes the explanations can be a bit dense. However, the examples make up for it, and the exercises at the end of the chapters are particularly beneficial for reinforcing the concepts. Purchased this for one of my data analytics courses, and it’s been quite insightful. The clarity in instruction and Excel applications are great. Though some sections could be more detailed, it still serves as a helpful guide. Also, I was able to apply a member discount which made the purchase even more worthwhile.
