This book excels in breaking down complex topics into understandable chunks, especially pertaining to score function methods. However, it does require a pre-existing knowledge of stochastic processes to fully appreciate the content. I got this book with my subscription discount, which was great. Although a bit intense, it's definitely a worthy read for those prepared for the challenge.
