Homer's Iliad in this first edition is nothing short of a masterpiece. The translation captures the essence of the original text with rich language and poetic elegance. Homer's Iliad is well-translated in this edition, with a thoughtful introduction and helpful notes throughout. I appreciated the balance between direct translation and readability which makes the text accessible while staying true to the source. Arrived quickly, securely packaged, without any damage. My only critique is the lack of section summaries, which would benefit readers who might get a bit lost in the complex narrative.
