This book provided a good balance between theory and real-life political maneuvers by Khrushchev. It was a solid read, though some parts felt a bit too detailed for my liking. Nevertheless, my book arrived very quickly and well-packaged, and I took advantage of my student discount to purchase it. Definitely worth a read for those interested in Soviet politics.

A well-crafted narrative that covers both Khrushchev's successes and failures in a balanced manner. It's clear that the author did his homework. The book serves as an excellent reference for understanding that era of politics. However, be prepared for some heavy academic language. Overall, a good addition to any historian's library.

The book offers a decent overview of Khrushchev's policies, but it didn't go as in-depth as I expected in some areas. Perfect if you're new to this topic, but perhaps too basic for seasoned historians. I got a discount using my membership, which was a nice perk. Arrived on time.
