Grabbed this free book for my Bachelor of Science in Data Science studies and it’s decent but kind of all over the place? some parts on Python and SQL are easy to follow which helps but other parts get kinda confusing and jumble concepts which slowed me down. honestly the examples are helpful but I wish there was a clearer way it’s laid out to learn step-by-step. printing quality is fine, no complaints there, and since it was free, I’m happy enough but wouldn’t say it’s amazing. okay for what I need but probably need extra stuff to really understand everything.

Been messing around with Python for class, and needed some solid SQL stuff too so I stumbled upon this free Python And SQL Bible from Beginner to World Expert, 1st Edition. I gotta say, hitting Chapter 5 - where it digs into joining tables and different query types - made things click for me like I didn't expect. Before this, I was basically lost trying to figure out how SQL databases link info together, especially with joins. That chapter broke down INNER JOINs, LEFT JOINs, RIGHT JOINs in a pretty straightforward way. Some examples were simple yet actually helped me build a few queries for a small project I’m doing where I pulled data from multiple tables without breaking my brain. Real eye opener because I thought joining stuff was complicated and it turned out it makes things way easier. The chapter kinda jumps between SQL code and Python snippets, which at first made me pause—sometimes it felt like switching gears too fast. Also, I wish the steps explaining joins had a tiny bit more visuals or diagrams to follow along better, I’m a visual learner. Other than that, it’s a cool combo book since it nails starting from zero and building up without feeling totally dumbed-down. It’s pretty chill to have a lot of info in one place at zero cost, especially during crunch time with homework, so can’t complain there. For anyone starting out with SQL, especially how it works in Python, that chapter alone is worth checking out. It gave me practical ways to work on data manipulation that I’m sure will help for school projects or simple automation. Would recommend giving it a shot if you want a solid base without extra hassle. Not everything was seamless but the learning this chapter offered made grabbing this book a smart move for me.
