Queen Lucia has its moments but felt overhyped. Maybe it's just not for everyone. Arrived quickly though.

The characters are charming, and the dialogue is top notch, but some of the plot turns felt predictable to me. That said, the delivery was super efficient, and the book came in pristine condition thanks to careful packaging. It's a solid read for anyone curious about 1920s British society.

Queen Lucia is a delightful romp into the quirky world of English small-town society. Benson crafts an exquisitely humorous narrative, weaving wit and humor into every interaction. The characters are vibrantly drawn, making you feel as if you could join them for tea in their charming village of Riseholme. I got an extra discount with my subscription, so value for money was excellent, too! This is truly a remarkable book that I can't recommend enough. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Queen Lucia, the social dynamics and Benson's keen observational humor are the highlights. However, at times the story meandered a bit, slowing down the otherwise sharp narrative. The book was delivered well-packaged and right on time, no issues there. I got to use my subscription perk for a little off the price which was a nice bonus. Would still recommend it especially to those who love character-driven stories.

If you love satire, Queen Lucia will more than satisfy your thirst. It's full of playful jabs at the social elite of the time. The writing style is engaging, and Benson's ability to capture the nuances of human folly is just exceptional. I was pleased with the speedy delivery, arriving much earlier than expected, making the anticipation short-lived and enjoyable!
