The Strain is a very compelling book with a fantastically dark and gritty atmosphere. The package arrived slightly late, but it was intact, which is what matters. The narrative is strong, but the detail could be dense at moments. That being said, Del Toro and Hogan's world-building is superb, drawing you right in.

I really enjoyed 'The Strain'. It's a solid thriller with some great examples of suspenseful storytelling. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is gripping. It arrived on time and well-protected, which was a relief. My only quibble is that it could be a bit repetitive at times, but overall, it's a worthwhile read!
