Found this book through a group chat when someone mentioned it was a freebie for a management info systems course I’m in, so I grabbed it. Was stressed about all the tech stuff piling up, feeling like MIS concepts would be impossible to get. When I finally got to Chapter 9 about Business Intelligence and Analytics, it hit me in a good way—the way they broke down data handling and reporting was actually not as confusing as I expected. That tight focus helped things click a bit, like suddenly the scary data jargon turned useful and kind of exciting to apply. That chapter showed how businesses turn complicated data into simpler stuff everyone can get and it made me rethink some class notes too. I even ended up trying out some basic reporting tools in a crunch for a homework project, feeling way less lost because of what I learned there. Cool to see theory turn so practical without crazy tech talk. Packaging and shipping were smooth, and the book looked brand new even though I got it free, so that was a nice surprise, saved me cash. On the notebook side, sometimes some concepts could’ve been friendlier for beginners but mostly solid—they do go detailed enough to keep things interesting, at least in Chapter 9. Would say it’s worth checking out if you’re dealing with MIS stuff in a college class or just curious — took the edge off my confusion and gave me tools I actually used. Good pick for anyone not looking to get super technical but still wanting to understand how information stuff runs behind the scenes at companies.

While the book is detailed, I found myself needing supplemental books to fully grasp complex topics. The theory is sound, but the application was harder to follow without external help. Good for reference but perhaps not standalone. Delivery was prompt and packaging excellent.
