This book is a gem for anyone interested in diving into the myths and legends of Vietnam. The narrative style is engaging and the examples provided in each chapter really help to illuminate the cultural significance of these stories. I only wish there were more illustrations to accompany the text. That said, it arrived swiftly and was well-packaged. Also, I got a nice discount through my premium membership which added to the overall value. A worthy addition to any mythology lover's book collection.

Vietnamese Legends, 1st Edition, offers a wonderful peek into the folklore that shapes much of Vietnamese culture today. Each story in the book is organized in a way that is easy to follow, with a nice mix of well-known legends and a few that are less familiar to Western readers. The inclusion of historical context for each story adds depth, though the book could benefit from more in-depth analysis. It was delivered quickly and without a scratch, thanks to excellent packing. A bit more visual content would have been ideal.

An excellent collection that offers a deep dive into the rich tapestry of Vietnamese folklore. The stories are captivatingly told and beautifully illustrated, bringing to life tales that have been passed down for generations. As someone who grew up hearing many of these legends, I was impressed by how faithfully they were retold. I received the book in pristine condition thanks to the careful packaging. Definitely a must-have for anyone interested in Southeast Asian mythology.
