The Alumni Association of the University of British Columbia tries to track the whereabouts and careers of UBC graduates. In a sample of 88 graduates known to be living outside of Canada, 51 are living in the United States. At the 0.05 significance level, test the claim that most (more than half) of UBC graduates who live outside of Canada are living in the United States (based on data in UBC Reports, May 21, 1998.).
