Question:
It is used in the study of electric circuits to represent the sudden surge of electric current, or voltage, when a switch is instantaneously turned on.
(a) Sketch the graph of the Heaviside function t.
(b) Sketch the graph of the voltage V (t) in a circuit if the switch is turned on at time t = 0 and 120 volts are applied instantaneously to the circuit. Write a formula for V (t) in terms of H (t).
(c) Sketch the graph of the voltage V (t) in a circuit if the switch is turned on at time t = 5 seconds and 240 volts are applied instantaneously to the circuit. Write a formula for V (t) in terms of H (t). (Note that starting at t = 5 correspond to a translation.)

I have done my graduation from indian institute of technology(IIT) Guwahati (university with a 0.2% acceptance rate) in chemical engineering. Currently i am working as market risk associate in Moody's Analytics. My job is to prepare different financial models so as to quantify risk and stress for global investment firms and banks. This all i have achieved through keeping my fundamentals clear and doing my tasks daily with utmost sincerity. Outside school area like to watch movies, big messi and nadal fan. Before joining college, I co-founded and headed an organization called 'Tutors', whose aim was to teach and expose high school kids to the joys of science by showing them the relevance of what they learn at school in their day to day life.Knowledge isn't only about getting the right numbers from mathematical equations at hand but it is all about making sense out of processes and understanding them so it can be applied in real world and which i intend to do through solutioninn. Inevitably, this perspective will help students fall in love with the subject and develop good analytical skills.
