The study described in Example 8.1.1, involving the compound mCPP, included a group of nine men. The men were asked to rate how hungry they were at the end of each 2-week period and differences were computed (hunger rating when taking mCPP-hunger rating when taking the placebo). Data for one of the subjects are not available; the data for the other eight subjects are given in the accompanying table.1 Analyze these data with a Wilcoxon signed-rank test at the α = 0.10 level; use a non directional alternative.
