Who am I?
I have a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus in Secondary English. I received my BA in English literature and am a Licensed Teacher. Teaching writing skills is one of my strengths. Gifted And Talented
Falcon High School
Responsible for creating an Alternative Learning Plan (ALP) for each student in the Gifted and Talented program. Working individually with the students themselves as well as incorporating parent input. I helped students set academic and social goals and monitored those throughout the school year to assess their progress. I did what I could to support student needs both in and out of the classroom whether it be tutoring, schedule changes, help with homework, or counseling on post-high school academics/careers.

I taught Freshman Composition along with 9th and 12th grade English. I helped to develop and implement new curriculum. I was responsible for creating a UbD for each class that I taught. I posted online weekly lesson plans along with assignments so that students and parents were kept aware of what was happening in class and had access to all necessary materials. I ensured that I created a safe and engaging learning environment for my students. I kept open communication with parents and students. I played an active role in helping my students be successful academically and emotionally. I was the Senior Sponsor and worked to coordinate senior events and graduation. I chaperoned school events and made sure that I was an active participant in our school community.
