About Paul

Math doesn't have to be hard. Every student has different needs and learns in different ways. I try to get to know my students so I can tailor examples and explanations in a way that reaches them on a personal level. I like using the EDGE method when I teach -- Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, Enable. I try to use plain language and explain terms to reduce confusion, and I use tailored examples to give them context they'll understand when we apply those terms to real-world situations. I let the student guide the pace so they don't feel rushed or pressured to keep up. It's really all about the student -- whatever I can do to make the environment conducive to learning just makes the whole process easy.
