I have obtained a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree with distinction from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK. Among the key subjects I studied while in university were: Structural Engineering and Materials, Pre-Stressed Concrete and Structural Stability, Engineering Mathematics, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Engineering, Transport Engineering and Construction Project Management.
I have obtained my Master in Civil Engineering with distinction degree from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK. The key subjects which I have studied during my university years included Structural Engineering and Materials, Pre-Stressed Concrete and Structural Stability, Engineering Mathematics, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Engineering, Transport Engineering, Construction Project Management.
I have worked for nearly 6 years as a bridge engineer in one of the largest and most respected engineering consultancy companies in the world. I have been involved in a variety of projects that have allowed me to gain experience in several forms of structures and different materials, which developed my engineering knowledge and understanding of engineering principles. The diverse workload has seen me develop my technical skills, modelling skills and has exposed me to some very challenging designs, both in the roles of the Designer/Assessor and an independent CAT II/III Checker. I have been involved with both assessment and design work throughout different design stages, from preliminary, outline and specimen design to detailed design, fabrication and construction. I have worked on steel, concrete, composite and masonry bridges and have been exposed to simple arch structures, retaining walls and culverts to more complicated multi-span precast beam, steel trusses, composite road bridges, a suspension road bridge and a cable-stayed footbridge. I possess excellent communication, time management, planning skills and attention to detail. I am flexible and willing to take responsibility.
