Vianna Stibal owns and operates the Theta Healing Institute of Knowledge (THInK) in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Theta Healing is Stibal's "self discovered" healing method. In her book Go Up and Seek God, Stibal stated that she had been diagnosed with cancer and had cured herself using Theta Healing. But Stibal's representation that she cured herself of cancer was false, and she knew it-her medical records did not confirm a cancer diagnosis. Believing Stibal's claim, Kara Alexander traveled from New York to Idaho to pay for, and attend, classes in Theta Healing from Stibal. Later, Alexander began to question the validity of her THinK degree. What are the elements of a cause of action for fraudulent misrepresentation?
