I've been teaching/tutoring for years. I've taught a variety of subjects in which I have an academic background, as well as languages in which I am fluent. Teaching others for free or in return for them teaching you is one of the best ways to obtain teaching experience.
If you want to learn a foreign language, you can teach your mother tongue to someone else while learning theirs. Alternatively, you may be able to teach something you know in exchange for learning about a topic you're interested in. You will gain experience as a result of this, and you will be able to charge for your services later.
