Write a one page description on the below topic There has been a recent trend by law enforcement agencies to offer crime mapping technology to their citizens. By using this technology, citizens can review 15 different categories of crime (arson, assault, burglary, disturbing the peace, drugs, DUI, fraud, homicide, motor vehicle theft, robbery, sex crimes, theft, vandalism, vehicle burglaries and weapon charges). Citizens can also search crimes based on location, type of crime and date parameters. Some agencies believe that this crime mapping tool is a vital resource for citizens to use so they can be more informed about pertinent information in their community. However, some citizens are fearful that this type of information can assist criminals, affect victims of crime and cause home values to drop.
