Write a report that outlines the main issues regarding Human Resource Management at a sample company, the company can be one where you work, a place that you have worked or a case from a business that you can research and that you closely understand and can use, generally the last one makes the most sense as it is easiest to gather documented information from large publically traded companies. You should use information and theories to make recommendations about how effective strategic HRM could assist your specific company in increasing the effectiveness of the organization essentially a Strategic Human Resource Plan. This requires that you carefully explain what is currently being done and how your recommendations will improve things. You may also explain why certain aspects of the plan should remain the same because they are working and are currently effective. Make sure that you include a discussion on internal labor markets, performance evaluation, pay for performance, staffing and recruitment and, training and development as well as motivational aspects. If your example is a unionized environment you will need to include this as one of the primary topics for your paper, if not you may wish to relate the non-unionized environment to a unionized environment. If your company is a foreign company that you have worked at then you should analyze it and reference some of the cultural and social norms that may require some deeper analysis regarding your plan.
