A large CPA firm recently announced layoffs of two senior employees who customarily receive excellent performance evaluations. The partner in charge of the decision wrote to her fellow partners that these two employees were being laid off because "I don't trust women from Guatemala, and we need some attractive people around here instead of that fat, ugly guy."
