In a randomized clinical trial to determine the most effective timing of administration of chemotherapeutic drugs to lung cancer patients, 16 patients were given four drugs simultaneously and 11 patients were given the same drugs sequentially. Objective response to the treatment (defined as shrinkage of the tumor by at least 50%) was observed in 11 of the patients treated simultaneously and in 3 of the patients treated sequentially. Do the data provide evidence as to which timing is superior? Use a chi-square test against a non directional alternative following the five steps (a-e) in Exercise 10.2.4. Let α = 0.05.
