a. Six of the observations were negative. Discuss various options of what could be done with those observations and then determine the best course of action.
b. The author was unable to find out why six of the observations were negative. So, he made a big assumption that the six pitches hit the ground before reaching the batter. On the basis of this assumption, he replaced each of the negative observations with 0 feet and then constructed boxplots for the pitch heights (in feet) for right-hand hitters and for left-hand hitters (see Fig. 127). Estimate the 75th percentile for the left-hand-hitter distribution. What does it mean in this situation?
