Show that if, instead of plotting strangeness S versus charge q for the spin -1/2 baryons in Figure a and for the spin zero mesons in Figure b, we plot the quantity Y - B + S versus the quantity T 2 = q – 1/2 (B + S), we get the hexagonal patterns without using sloping axes. (The quantity Y is called hypercharge, and Tz is related to a quantity called isospin.)
