Aft er looking at all deaths among these nurses, the researchers concluded: “As compared with nondrinkers and heavy drinkers, light-to-moderate drinkers had a signifi cantly lower risk of death.”12 Th e word “signifi cantly” in this conclusion has a technical meaning.
