Using the principles discussed for effective email communication, write a draft email to members of an organization to which you belong. This can be real or imagined—a sports team, fraternity or sorority, hobby club, religious group, or nonprofit organization.

Your purpose is to move some of your meetings online. You may choose the schedule—every other meeting, once a month, or whatever makes sense for the organization.

Provide enough reasons to convince the other members that this is a good decision. You believe this will save travel and meeting time because you’ll work more efficiently. Invent whatever details you need to make your email realistic. When you’re finished, compare your email to a classmate’s. How do they differ, and how are they similar? What are the best aspects of each?
