Climate change has for years been a highly, and emotionally, contested issue. While most people believe it

Question:

Climate change has for years been a highly, and emotionally, contested issue. While most people believe it is real, many others, including some scientists, argue that it is not. Industry leaders around the world are divided about climate change and its effect on the environment, politicians argue incessantly about it, and environmentalists despair at the lack of action to resolve it. Regular high-powered international meetings discuss what can be done and set targets for countries to reduce greenhouse gases. Communication professionals are hired to work for both sides of the climate change debate, mainly by companies trying to convince people that they are not high polluters or are doing their best to reduce their environmental impacts.
In 2022, Britain’s national news service, the BBC, published an online feature article that it called “The audacious PR plot that seeded doubt about climate change.”
