Choosing a sampling method. Identify your sampling method using the following questions as a guide:

a. What is the population from which my sample will be taken?

b. For quantitative research:

i. What is my target population?

ii. What sampling method (e.g. probability sampling, non-probability sampling) do I need to use? If probability, how will I conduct randomized selection?

iii. What specific sampling method will I use?

iv. What sample size will I need? Do I need to set any quotas?
