Randomly select a sample of male students and a sample of female students and ask each selected person a yes > no question, such as whether they support a death penalty for people convicted of murder, or whether they believe that the federal government should fund stem cell research. Record the response, the gender of the respondent, and the gender of the person asking the question. Use a formal hypothesis test to determine whether there is a difference between the proportions of yes responses from males and females. Also, determine whether the responses appear to be influenced by the gender of the interviewer.
