This chapter does not begin to cover the vast number of sales forecasting methods, but only attempts to bring in a few. Should time and interests allow, other methods may be discussed and demonstrated in class. Things not covered include more advanced methods such as linear programming and seasonality, cyclical sales and the like. Consult an advanced marketing textbook, a sales textbook, or an operations management textbook for good examples and more details.
