I wrote that statement based on my perspective.

I wrote it because I’ve watched end users misuse the outputs of well-designed information systems or not use them at all. But, another author, one with a different perspective, might say something else.

The students don't have enough experience to know if they agree or not. They might decide provisionally to believe that statement until they know more. At this stage, the biggest impact on what they believe is you, their professor!

From one perspective: If a system is like a chain, then every link is equally important. The third link is not more important than the fifth one. So all five components are the same. From a different perspective:

How one thinks about the information people receive has the greatest impact on what they will do with that information. So, from that perspective, the statement is true.
