Generate a computational domain to study Mach waves in a two-dimensional supersonic channel (Fig. P15–42). Specifically, the domain should consist of a simple rectangular channel with a supersonic inlet (Ma = 2.0), and with a very small bump on the lower wall. Using air with the inviscid flow approximation, generate a Mach wave, as sketched. Measure the Mach angle, and compare with theory. Also discuss what happens when the Mach wave hits the opposite wall. Does it disappear, or does it reflect, and if so, what is the reflection angle? Discuss.
