Assignment 1: Create a Spreadsheet Directions 1. Create a spreadsheet for any of the following:

a. A unit budget that includes last year’s costs, this year’s costs to date, and cost projections for next year if costs increase 5%.

b. A drug worksheet that lists the dose by weight for a class of drugs (e.g., emergency drugs for premature babies or for cardiac arrest, a comparison sheet giving safe doses of narcotics) and formulas for calculating the drugs for persons weighing different amounts.

c. A personal budget of your living costs for the past year, the current year, and projected for next year if all costs increase by 3%.

d. A special topic approved by your instructor. 2. Use the appropriate formulas and functions. 3. Create a new sheet, copy the original worksheet to the new sheet, and conduct one “what-if” question. Create a second new worksheet, copy the original worksheet to it. Expose the formulas/functions adjusting the column widths as appropriate and setting it to landscape. 4.
