6. Conduct an in-depth information-gathering interview, and write a four-to fivepage report in which you summarize the information you received. Then comment on what you learned about the interview process. The interview must last at least one hour; the interviewee must be a close acquaintance who is older than you and who must have children (consider interviewing one of your parents).

The interview must cover at least two of the following topics:

a. The person’s philosophy of raising children (discipline, finances, making friends, respect for authority, character formation)

b. The person’s political beliefs (political affiliation and commitment, involvement in civic affairs, involvement in government)

c. The person’s religious beliefs, their effect on the person’s life, and how these beliefs relate to family life

d. The person’s goals in life and how the person is working to achieve these goals

e. The person’s philosophy of leisure time (ideally how one should spend leisure time versus how this person actually spends it)
