Refer back to the previous exercise about exploring the relationship between the number of letters in a name and the corresponding Scrabble score. Recall that students were asked to calculate the number of Scrabble points their names would earn. Students were also asked to calculate the points per letter, that is, ratio = (Scrabble score)/(number of letters in name). The data file ScrabbleRatio contains Scrabble points for a student’s name and the corresponding ratio.

a. Enter the data into the Corr/Regression applet. Produce a scatterplot and comment on the association between the variables as revealed in the scatterplot. (Remember to comment on form, direction, strength, and unusual observations.)
b. Report the value of the correlation coefficient. Does the value of the correlation coefficient support your answer in part (a)? Explain how you are deciding.
