Scenario: We will continue to examine the World Development Indicators data in BirthRate 2017. Throughout the exercise, we will use BirthRate as the Y variable. We will broaden our analysis to work with other variables in that file:

MortUnder5: Deaths, children under 5 years per 1,000 live births MortInfant: Deaths, infants per 1,000 live births MortMaternal2016: Number of maternal deaths in childbirth per 100,000 live births

a. Initially estimate a model using all three of the above-listed variables. Evaluate your model and report on your findings.

b. Drop the weakest of the three variables from the model and re-estimate using a reduced model with two independent variables. Report on your findings, comparing these results to those for the prior model.

c. Use the Profiler to explore the independent effects of the variables in your model.
