The term “race” has been eliminated as a means to describe people in many of the sciences because the category is said to be meaningless and restrictive. Identify some reasons why there has been a trend to eliminate use of the term. Are there other ways to describe and differentiate culturally distinct people from one another other than race? Would eliminating use of the term race eliminate “racism”?
