(a) Draw a correctly scaled and labeled partial energy level diagram including levels with n = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and ∞ for muonic hydrogen.

(b) Compute the radius of the n = 1 muon orbit in muonic H, He1+, Al12+, and Au78+.

(c) Compare the results in (b) with the radii of these nuclei. 

(d) Compute the wavelength of the photon emitted in the n = 2 to n = 1 transition for each of these muonic atoms.

It is possible for a muon to be captured by a proton to form a muonic atom. A muon is identical to an electron except for its mass, which is 105.7 MeV/c2
