Find an operation and assess its overall performance using a polar diagram. You will have to devise the ‘dimensions’ of the polar diagram so that they are meaningful to the operation in question. Start with the five generic performance objectives (quality, speed, dependability, flexibility and cost) and change them accordingly. Overlay the operation’s performance with what you perceive to be the customers’ needs and discuss any differences.
