In some ill-constructed LP models, the solution space may be unbounded even though the problem may have a bounded objective value. Such an occurrence points to possible irregularities in the construction of the model. In large problems, it may be difficult to detect “unboundedness” by inspection. Devise an analytic procedure for determining whether or not a solution space is unbounded.
