(a) Academic subjects taught: The UGBS’s 100 academics are equally divided between the four main subject areas (equivalent to company functions): human behaviour (HB); financial management (FM); strategy and marketing (SM); and operations management (OM). 

(b) Products offered: The UGBS offers the following products: 

U – Undergraduate teaching – BA full-time students who fund themselves, taught on the main campus 

P1 – Postgraduate teaching – MBA full-time students who fund themselves, taught on the main campus 

P2 – Postgraduate teaching – MBA part-time – working managers, funded by their companies, taught in the city centre campus 

T – Together, these three constitute teaching (T = U + P1 + P2); 

R – Research conducted by academics funding by the research councils 

D – Doctoral – supervision of conducted by doctoral (postgraduate) students who fund themselves, on the main campus 

C – Consultancy – consultancy provided by academics for companies, bought by them, and provided on the companies’ premises
