Unemployment is one of the major issues most governments of the world are faced with. The file EuUnempl2017 contains employment data for 319 European regions in 2017 in terms of rate of unemployment and the rate of employment of citizens between 18-64 years of age. For each of these two variables:

a. Compute the mean, median, first quartile, and third quartile.

b. Compute the range, interquartile range, variance, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation.

c. Construct a boxplot. Are the data skewed? If so, how?

d. Compute the coefficient of correlation between unemployment and employment rates.

e. Based on the results of (a) through (d), what conclusions can you reach concerning employment and unemployment rates for EU regions?
